The cheapest way to lower your cost per unit is usually to remove a SKU, not to negotiate a discount. Fewer lines means larger runs, fewer changeovers and a better price at the same quality.
How orders move from factory to shelf
Transit times move with the season. Book space early for Q4 and around Chinese New Year, when factory output pauses for two to three weeks and freight rates tighten at the same time.

Choosing the core line
A practical starting order for importers is 200 units across two or three SKUs, not 200 units of one. That spreads the risk, gives your staff something to compare, and still hits the first price break.
